Volunteerism

Become a Volunteer

Our volunteers contribute daily to our work and programmes and their help is invaluable to us. They are an indispensable and integral part of the Network for Children’s Rights!

The most important aspect in volunteering is the relationship of acceptance and trust that is built between children and the volunteers. Children feel that they can share their thoughts and experiences with them. Learning support comes second, as it’s important for children to believe and to realize that there are different points of view for the world.

Our desire is the best possible cooperation and experience with the volunteers and this is why after their welcoming, we train them systematically and efficiently. The training’s goal is for the volunteers to be able to cope with the activities they implement in the best way and enjoy the process at the same time. The training also aims to protect both the volunteers and the children from misunderstandings, gaps and challenges throughout the volunteering period and for this reason supervision functions as a method of guidance and encouragement.
