The many faces of Miles Davis

Miles Davis (1926 – 1991) was a jazz trumpet player and composer. With his unique style of playing and ceaseless search for new musical paths, he has left his mark in jazz and created styles that are considered historic.

His work was never static. From bebop to cool and modal jazz, from hard bop to free improvisation and experimenting with hip hop near the end of his life, the history of Miles’ music is virtually identical to the history of jazz.

Let’s listen to some very diverse examples!
