“A Child's World”: Group Exhibition celebrating 15 years of Network for Children’s Rights

Contemporary artists and illustrators unite their voices, in order pay respect and defend the rights of every child, in an exhibition under the title “A Child's World” that will be hosted from January 16th until January 26th at the Children’s Library of NLG that is located in Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the 15 years since the foundation of Network for Children’s Rights as a non-profit organization, the Network holds the art exhibition “A Child's World”, to raise awareness. In times that the impingement of children’s rights is still an everyday reality, even in developed countries, such as Greece, this exhibition aims to bring us closer to a child’s world and calls us to account for our obligation to protect not only children but also, their world.

The works of the artists that participate in the exhibition are a reminder of the content of children’s rights. The artists, that so generously donated this exhibition’s works to the Network, are calling us to take those works of art with us, in our personal space, so that they constantly remind us the need to defend, but also apply all that is prescribed in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, that is Greek law since 1992 (L2101/92).
