The program “We are here too” funded by the Latsis Public Benefit Foundation has as its ultimate goal the promotion and dissemination of Children’s Rights to children, parents, educators and to the general public, by creating a short film using LEGO and focusing on health and development issues, as mentioned in the articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
After the cycle of creative writing seminars for children by a special screenwriter, the script will emerge which will be converted into a stop motion animation video and will be screened in schools, cinemas and festivals.
In the context of the implementation of the program, there will be 4 workshops for teachers (train the trainers) from schools in Athens. It will include both theoretical-introductory knowledge of the CRC and the safeguarding policy followed by the NCR, as well as practical knowledge on creative writing techniques and basic principles of the methodology used focusing on the last meeting in audiovisual media such as photography and stop motion. Teachers will be given a certificate of participation.
